Sang Bleu 6
14th September 2012

Sang Bleu is one of my favourite publications. The brainchild of Swiss tattooer Maxime Buchi and choreographer/entrepreneur Jeanne-Salomé Rochat, Sang Bleu fuses many areas such as tattoo, hip hop, graffiti, fetish, fashion and performance art. It's one of very few tattoo related publications that shows faith in the tattoo communities intelligence and interest in art outside of it's own medium.

This issue which features many interesting articles from a feature on Bruce Argue, a master of rope bondage and fashion collaborations and contributions from Michèle Lamy, Dior Homme stylist Mauricio Nardi, make up artist Isamaya French, Zana Byne, Char Alfonzo, and designer of Givenchy’s infamous “Bird of Paradise” pattern Simon Cook to interviews with rappers Paul Wall and and Nacho PIcasso, is a diverse collection of varying interests and mediums. It also features interviews with many tattooers such as Tin Tin, Laura Santana, Mark Cross, Roberty Ryan and Alex Reinke.

You can pre-order SB6 via sangbleu6.com the 700 page publication is not cheap at £75 but for the sheer volume and quality of content it's a bargain.
