Origin: The Electric Machine
Samuel O’Reilly first expanded on the concept of the electric pen created by Edison, and created the first electromotor tattooing-machine. In 1891 O’Reilly took the idea of the pen that functioned on the basic design of moving coils, a tube and a needle bar. this basic design has been only slightly upgraded and modified from artist to artist need and desire but the original concept and basic design have been kept. As the electric tattoo machine developed more tattoos, tattoo artists were making it capable for anyone get a fair priced tattoo.
