Meanings - Compass

COMPASS - it is a popular maritime tattoo, reflecting the long history that intertwined the art  in the sailor's body, as it resembles the nautical star in its symbolism. In the early age of sail, sailors navigated  enchanted waters and face unknown dangers, armed only with the stars at night, a compass pointing north and your own wits to guide them. The compass and the North Star was everything a good sailor needed to find his way in the world, therefore both were popular tattoo designs at the time. This tattoo not only helped to navigate the sea, but also to help guide your way through life.
