Meanings - Bee

BEE - Back 2,000 years ago, bees were considered a symbol of the soul and your honey was placed in tombs as a sacred offering to the dead. Because they seem to die in the winter and return in the spring (actually hibernate in their hives) also became a symbol of death and rebirth. For their ability to always find their way back home even in great distances, the bee is seen as a representative of the soul. Also associated with sexuality and charisma, as well as fertility and love, kill a bee is believed to bring bad luck. Its not surprising that the bee also be seen as a symbol of social order, diligence and cleanliness, you just have to observate their ceaseless work with flowers, pollen and colecting of honey.
