Alberta Bound Tattoo & Arts Festival

The Alberta Bound Tattoo & Arts festival is always a good time, and this year was no exception. The show was jam packed with talent world wide and local. Including legends in the traditional tattoo scene Chad Koeplinger and Dan Smith. Vendors and artists always provide much to look at, prints and t-shirts to buy, and tattoos to enjoy, this year also included two art show to view. The Death Art Show
Curated by Damian McGrath of Tattoos.com, this show features coffin lid-shaped boards painted by some of the world’s best tattoo artists. On display was a selection of works including those by Filip Leu, Joe Capobianco, Seventh Son Tattoo, Paul Booth and more. As well as The Art of Good Head.

Local talent included Ryan Gagne of Red Deer’s Classic tattoo, Trevor Varem of Calgary’s new Enso Tattoo, Max Gerchikov of Calgary’s Blackbird tattoo, and Dylan Birkholm of Calgary’s Eternal Image tattoo.
